 Abit has launched the I45D for entry-level value-platform motherboard. That can support Intel Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual-Core, Celeron Dual Core processors. Beside the 65nm processors, it is also ready for the next generation 45nm processor that support 1333MHz FSB. The I45D comes with DIMM sockets that support dual channel DDR2 667MHz memory modules, the high definition on-board 5.1-channel audio.  AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) is planning to launch new and more powerful version of Radeon HD 2900 series, named ATI Radeon HD 2950PRO. This graphics card come in two models: Gladiator and Revival. The first one will take hard core gamers by storm by featuring 825MHz GPU frequency, memory clock speed of 2.4GHz, and 512MB GDDR4 graphics memory. While the lower spec Revival, decreases the core clock and memory clock speed to 750MHz and 1.8GHz respectively. It’ll come with 256/512MB GDDR3 graphics memory. Just like the HD 2900 series, the HD 2950PRO is based on R600 chip structure and features 320 stream processors per GPU, HDMI, and HDCP. It’ll also support DirectX 10.1, Shader Model 4.0, PCI Express 2.0, UVD and CrossFire technology. |

This DIMMs uses robust eight-layer PCBs with a height of only 0.72-inch which still meets JEDEC (Joint Electron Device Engineering Council) standards, and can be used in low profile and normal-height systems. With the height 40% lower than standard memory modules, making them appropriate for use in 1U blade servers and embedded systems with space restrictions. |
