 AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) is planning to launch new and more powerful version of Radeon HD 2900 series, named ATI Radeon HD 2950PRO. This graphics card come in two models: Gladiator and Revival. The first one will take hard core gamers by storm by featuring 825MHz GPU frequency, memory clock speed of 2.4GHz, and 512MB GDDR4 graphics memory. While the lower spec Revival, decreases the core clock and memory clock speed to 750MHz and 1.8GHz respectively. It’ll come with 256/512MB GDDR3 graphics memory. Just like the HD 2900 series, the HD 2950PRO is based on R600 chip structure and features 320 stream processors per GPU, HDMI, and HDCP. It’ll also support DirectX 10.1, Shader Model 4.0, PCI Express 2.0, UVD and CrossFire technology. |
