IOMega has just opened their new 70GB USB 2.0 Drive for pre-order today. The super durable disks comes with REV technology which is 8 times the speed of normal tape and EMC Retrospect Express software for professional-level backup with disaster recovery capability. It can be compressed up to 140GB of storage capacity on a single disk and it has a burst transfer rate up to 100 MB/sec. Transferring files from your computer won't be a problem via high-speed USB 2.0 connection which is also compatible with USB 1.1 connection. Let's take a peek at the performance side, it has a latency time of 7.1ms, spindle speed of 4200 rpm, start time 22 seconds, stop time of 6 seconds and media data transfer rate of 15 to 30 MB/sec. The 70GB USB 2.0 drive weights 390 grams with the size of 6.2" x 4.4" x 1.3". It is now available for pre-order at IOMega with the price of USD599.99. Getting the drive alone is half the job done, as an individual 70GB REV disk will set you back by $69. Save some greens by purchasing the four-pack for $249.

Logitech has just unveiled a pair of new stereo speakers, the Logitech AudioStation and AudioStation Express. Sport a handy iPod dock, both speaker sets offer a good perfomance and bundled with a remote control and travel case. Well, I'm not really convinced why I should bring a speaker sets during travel, but I think it'd be a positive point for some people.

The Logitech AudioStation, priced at $299.99, features a built-in AM/FM radio with a backlit, touch-sensitive control panel, and LCD display. On the other hand, the smaller AudioStation Express, costs $129.99, can be powered by either batteries or an AC adapter.

Lite-On has just announced its upcoming external Blu-Ray writer, the LX-2B1U. Using USB 2.0 connectivity, this burner can take care of both single and dual-layer Blu-ray dics, as well as recordable (BD-R) and rewriteable (BD-RE) discs at 2x speeds. Like other Blu-Ray burner, standard DVD+-R/RW burning is allowed, however, no support for CD-R/RW media. No words on pricing and availability yet, but it will probably hit the store in the early 2007.

As I've mentioned before, Canon Imaging recently presented two new portable photo printers under the SELPHI line-up, the CP720 and CP730 models. Simply by looking at the model number, I'm sure you might already guess that the CP730 has more advanced features. And you're right. And the most noticeable difference, apart from its 178 x 131 x 65 mm dimensions, is the 2-inch colors LCD display, compared to CP720's 1.5-inch screen. However, on the printing quality side, this photo printer offers the same resolution as its siblings, a 300 x 300 dpi (256 gradatios/color) resolution.
