 The XM NavTraffic from Traverse is currently available in 80 major cities across the U.S. It feeds data on accidents and road constructions directly to vehicle’s GPS navigation system via XM’s nationwide satellite broadcast system. Beside that, it also provides information on traffic flow where available. Users can view a color-coded overlay that indicates the average speed of travel along the driver’s planned route. XM NavTraffic is powered by Navteq. |

 This is the new set of processor that introduced by AMD, called Imageon , designed for handheld devices. With the new Imageon lineup AMD is hoping to increase their market share in devices with large, high-res displays, touch-screen interfaces, internet, navigation and mapping capabilities. Specifically AMD Imageon A250 is for vector graphics such as those used in rendering maps for most navigation systems. |

 ParaNav is the GPS navigation system equipped helmet from Rockwell Collins. Apparently the Marines put in an order for 3000 of these hi-tech helmets for parachutists. ParaNav integrates a full-color display that attaches directly to goggles or helmet shields. The helmet is more than just a GPS receiver and a dot on the screen. ParaNav also includes Wi-Fi interface for receiving Joint Precision Airdrop System data and even supports dead reckoning when GPS signals are not available |

 Now you can visit the sonystyle website to get the preorder of two new GPS navigation systems for the U.S. market. NVU-73T will be $50 cheaper than what we expected. It will sell for $300. NVU-83T on the other hand is already $100 cheaper. NVU-83T will sell for $400. |

 A new GPS navigation system out by Altina called A800. It comes with a large TFT LCD display measuring 4.3″. It has a Samsung 2440 400 MHz CPU, and uses the popular SiRFStar III GPS chipset. It has the most basic multimedia features such as picture viewing and listening MP3s.
