 New series fancy Everio camcorders from JVC, with its noticeable improvement for the HDD / SDHC-compatible, Everio GZ-HD3. The GZ-HD3 is stated to have a 60GB internal hard disk drive (HDD), along with the ability to record onto SDHC memory cards. It will not offer the full 1920 x 1080 HD – only 1440 x 1080 in an MPEG-2 TS file type. |

 Hitachi’s Blu-Ray camcorder’s prototype, which previously announced during last year’s CEATEC show, will soon become reality. The company is currently working on this video camera recorder which will sport support for 8cm BD and DVD media. Hitachi claims that their first Blu-Ray camcorder will feature a 5.3 megapixel CMOS sensor, a full 1920 x 1080 resolution support, and the capability to record up to 7GB of MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video. |

 Two new HD camcorders from Sony, the HDR-SR8 and HDR-SR5C models. The former is the successor of SR7 camcorder and sports a 3.2 megapixel CCD sensor and a 10x optical zoom lens. No other detail has been revealed at the moment, except that the recorder is scheduled to hit the shelves in July 9th with a price tag of $1,600. |
