World's First Bicycle Riding Robot Murata Boy |
|
Sunday, 04 February 2007 |
Japanese new gizmo. Built looking like 'gakusei' (student) of almost 2 foot tall, its geeky looking backpack has been wired perfectly to the robot's structure. This robot will look like a real boy cycling around as it has the latest artificial intelligent assembled.
With the four main sensors of detecting angular velocity, obstacles and rough surfaces, Murata will turned the bicycle lightly and perform effortless swings and bends like a normal human being.
To get this robot running, simply connect it via PC wireless and pre-programmed paths for commands. Amazingly when it is stationary, Murata is able to balance itself on the standing position without tipping offside of a degree. Being that bright and reliably entertaining, Murata weights only 5 kg.
