 This is a cool black-colored BenQ FP241W widescreen LCD monitor last week during the Intel Compuvaganza event, and I love it. Unfortunately, while I was reading the brochure and thinking to replace my old monitor with this display, right in front of my eyes, someone bought the last displayed unit. |

I-O Data has just upgraded DVRP, its external CD / DVD burner product, and add a new feature called LabelFlash. This function allows users to burn a text or a logo directly on the LabelFlash-compatible CD and DVD media. The burning speed rate has been increased as well — 4x for DL-DVD, 8x for DVD-R, 5x for DVD-RAM, and 24x for CD. DVRP External CD/DVD burner itself is using USB connection, therefore, no external power source is required.

Allinx Media is going to release CHIMEI-946D LCD monitor in the Korea market very soon. ‘CHIMEI’ itself is a brand name of CMO (Chi-Mei Optoelectronics), a Taiwan-based panel maker, which is also a global leading company in 19-inch wide monitor market, thanks to its advanced wide panel manufacturing technology. And this 946D display, which is happen to have a 19-inch wide screen, incorporated CMO’s super-fast 2ms response wide panel. Other features packed on the CHIMEI-946D LCD monitor include a contrast ratio of 650:1, a brightness of 350cd/m2, and a viewing angle of 160/140 degrees. Plextor has just released the PX-608CU, its new external DVD burner. At just 1.6cm heighs, the company claimed the writer as the world's smallest external DVD burner. It can burn at 4x - 8x write speeds 924x for CD-R/RW) and compatible with both CD and DVD media, as well as dual-layer dics. Futhermore, the PX-608CU burner has 2MB of RAM buffer and uses USB 2.0 connectivity. It will hit the store in October, but no words on pricing yet. Along with PX-608CU, Plextor also released PX-608AL, the internal version of the DVD writer. This ATAPI burner uses a slot-load mechanism and supposedly retail starting from October too. |

 Toshiba unveiled its new memory card, the Toshiba 4GB SDHC Memory Card which conforms to the SD memory card v2.00 standard introduced by the SD Card Association (SDA) and achieves top notch performance. According to the SD Speed Ratings these are the minimum class speeds - Class 2: 2MB/s; Class 4: 4MB/s; Class 6: 6MB/s. Toshiba is pretty thrilled since their new card exceeds the Class 4 minimum write speed of 4MB/s. However this comes at a price, the new 4GB SDHC card is not compatible with standard SD card slots/readers.
