Intel 45nm dual-core and quad-core CPU to be available in 2008 |

 Follow source motherboard shaper as report at Digitimes, Intel will launch eleven 45nm dual-core CPU for notebook at first half from next year, and company also planning launches quad-core version at third quarter. 45nm quad-core notebook CPU codenamed Penryn QC consist of two Penryn cores at multi-chip package, adopt socket p (35m x 35mm), 12mb L2 cache, 1066MHz FSB and 45W maximum TDP. Initially Penryn QC only appear in core 2 extreme and most montevina station veranda notebook not support quad-core CPU.
Meanwhile at dual-core side, five 45nm dual-core notebook CPU (for the Santa Rosa Refresh platform) that scheduled to launch in january next year has example name: X9000 to 2.8ghz CPU, T9500 for 2.6ghz, T9300 for 2.5ghz, T8300 for 2.4ghz and T8100 for 2.1ghz and appreciate us$851, us$530, us$316, us$241 and us$209 at 1000-unit tray total, each, register source.
