Here come the laptop line with the new LOOX R series by Fujitsu. As for the LOOX R70Y model, the only LOOX R series laptop available on the catalog for now, it is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a 1GB of main memory, a 120GB of hard drive, and an Intel GMA X3100 graphics engine. Moreover, the measures 274 x 207 x 27mm and weighs 1.27kg, this 12.1-inches baby also sports a 802.11a/b/g WiFI connectivity and an amazing 11.3 hours of battery life. Sound nice. |

 The new UMPC (ultra-mobile PC) with a 7-inch screen, coded Cloudbook, has confirmed to ship by Everex. It is revealed that the device will ship with the Google Apps-oriented “gOS” Linux distribution early next year. This will be a rival to Asus’s EEE PC, which is also 7-inch UMPC. It comes with Standard and Developer editions. Cloudbook will use a Via C7 ULV (ultra-low voltage) processor, clocked at 1.2GHz. And, instead of the EEE PC’s 4GB SSD (solid-state disk), the Cloudbook will pack in a 30GB hard disk drive. It has 512MB of RAM, built-in wired and wireless Ethernet interfaces, a 4-in-1 card reader, a pair of USB 2.0 ports, and DVI-out. Unlike standard Cloudbook models, the Developer edition will include a touchscreen interface. Beside that, this cloudbook will also include some kind of expansion interface for modules, webcam, cordless Skype phone, and retro LCD alarm clock module are included. |
