Another new notebook to hit the stands is the ultra portable 10.6 Averatec AV1150. This notebook may not be in the league of Apple or Sony, but will no doubt appeal to people because of the under $1400 tag. Very few companies are offering ultra portable notebooks at these prices, however this does comes at a cost. Looks like the company will skip the current Intel Core technology and will stick to the good old Pentium M processor.
Some other specs to be found on the notebook include a DVD burner, 80GB HDD, an impressive 1GB of RAM, Intel Extreme Graphics 2 with 128 MB of shared memory, Integrated Intel Pro/Wireless 2200GB and a 4-in-1 media. This notebook measures around 0.47" x 7.97" x 1.36" and weighs 3.4 pounds only. Its available now for about $1300. Not a bad buy for its price if you ask me. Averatec Via Engadget |
