Here goes another new notebook released by Asus, the R1F Tablet PC. And like the other two new laptops, Asus F2 and V1 series, this convertible notebook is also powered by Intel's Core2 Duo (code name Merom) processor. Specs-wise, this 13.3-inch machine doesn't quite different compared to its siblings. It features an Intel 945GM Express chipset, up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM, up to 120GB of SATA HDD, and wide-range of connectivity options - WiFI, Ethernet LAN, and Bluetooth V2.0+ EDR. Weighs 4.6 pounds, it also comes with a fingerprint reader and Asus Security Protect Manager's multi-factor authentication data access protection. Along with Intel's Core2 Duo processor, the R1F Tablet PC can be powered by Intel's Core Duo processor as well. It runs on Windows XP Tablet PC Edition operating system and comes with InfoPen software for handwritten input capability. No words on pricing and US availibility yet.
