Flashbag - The Inflating USB Flash Drive |

Put this one down as perhaps the strangest USB drive ever designed. While the Flashbag is only a design concept, the designer is looking for manufacturers to participate on the project. The drive itself is a standard fare flash drive; the micro pump is the odd bit. The micro pump inflates the "bag" around the flash drive in time with the amount of data stored on the drive. When the drive is empty it is flat, as you add data it gets fatter. As described by the designer "When the device is about to blow up you will see the familiar error message on your screen: «There is not enough free space»". With an out of the ordinary product like this, they should use a more interesting error message. I would suggest "hey stop putting data in here or I will blow a hole in your pocket". The device could also bring a world of new insults to geeks everywhere such as "is that a Flashbag in your pocket, or you just happy to see me". Does this thing remind anyone else of a feminine hygiene product?
