AvMap QTM 1000 VOR DVB-H and GPS Combo Device |

Italian manufacturer, AvMap, showcased QTM 1000 VOR, its latest mobile device featuring built-in DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcast - Handheld) receiver and GPS navigation system capabilities during 3GSM World Congress 2007. Developed in partnership with Quantum, the device can receive up to 8 TV channels and allows you to simultaneously watch one channel while recording the other channel. Users can also display their photos collection as well as listen to their favourite MP3 files stored on the SD memory card. On the satnav side, it is powered by SiRF Star III GPS receiver and pre-loaded with maps of Italy from TeleAtlas. Other features include a 4.3-inch TFT LCD display with 16M colors and 25 fps movie playback, and USIM/UICC reader.
AvMap QTM 1000 VOR DVB-H GPS will be available in Italy market starting from April with a price tag of about €400. The retail package will include a subscribtion to H3G’s DVB-H service. via |
