
Proton is going to show off its two HD-ready LCD TV at the TvTvst Expo in September. Both HDTVs - one with 42-inch width and other has 47-inch width - are under the company's Purity line-up. They feature an integrated NTSC and ATSC tuners, enhanced video quality including Motion Lagging Correction Engine for seamlessly smooth screen action, 3D Color Management, 3-2 Pull Down to accurately convert and display content originally shot for film, adjustable color temperature, and 176 degrees viewing angle, as well as PiP (Picture-in-Picture) and Pop (Picture-on-Picture) functions. Supported screen resolutions including 480i, 480p, 1080i, 720p and 1080p. The 47-inch Purity LCD HDTV, priced at $4,000, is equipped with two HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) inputs, a resolution of 1920 x 1080, and an aspect ratio of 16:9. It weighs 66 kg and comes with a brightness of 600 nits. On the other hand, the lighter 42-inch HD-ready LCD TV, at just 45 kgs, offers a brightness of 500 nits, a built-in two stereo speakers on the bottom, and advanced lamp technology for energy saving usage.
