 Ricoh has just unveiled its new 7.5 megapixel digital camera, the Caplio R5. As the successor of the Caplio R4 (well, that's obvious), this digicam offers a nice 7.1x optical wide zoom lens (28~200mm, 35mm), 100 ~ 1000 ISO setting, a large 2.5-inch 232K colors LCD display, and the all new Smooth Imagine Engine II image processing engine which delivers unblurry high-quality images. Equipped with a 26MB of internal memory with SD/MMC card slot which will come in handy if you need more storage, its energy saving battery provides up to 380 shots on a single full charge.
Like many other digital cameras outthere, the Caplio R5 can also record movie with a variety of quality - 640 x 480 @ 15/30fps, 20 x 240 @ 15/30fps, and 160 x 120 @ 15/30fps. Thanks to its built-in microphone, you don't have to watch the movie in silent. Furthermore, the camera also comes with several Scene Mode that would make both amateur and professional photographers happy, such as Portrait, Sports, Landscape, NightscapeSkew correction, and Zoom Macro, But no matter whether you're an amateur or professional, you still have to wait until Ricoh reveals the price and availability of this digital camera.
