Sony has just released an interesting combination between a powerful home PC with a high-quality LCD TV under its popular VAIO line-up, the VAIO LS1 TV/PC Combo. The PC is powered by an Intel Core Duo processor and equipped with a 2GB of RAM, a large 250GB of HDD, integrated webcam, and 802.11b/g Wireless LAN connectivity. And since it's a TV/PC combo, you can expect an integrated NTSC TV tuner inside. Not just you can watch your favourite TV programme on it s 19-inch WSXGA+ LCD display, you can also record the show directly on the hard disk for later viewing. Priced at $2,100, the stylish VAIO LS1 TV/PC Combo sports a unique framed display with a transparent border for a stunning floating effect. The whole PC is embedded behind the flat-panel LCD display, thus providing an extra space for your other devices.  PC Koubou has an interesting BTO (Built To Order) desktop PC on its shelves, the Scenage SL504MULTI. Priced at 89,980 Yen (basic configuration), it is powered by a Celeron D346 (3.6GHz) processor, 512MB of RAM, and 160GB of 7,200rpm HDD. This PC is also equipped with a DVD SuperMulti burner and an ATI Fire MV2200 PCI graphics card with 64MB of VRAM. So, what makes it interesting? Well, in multi-mode, the PC's graphics engine supports up to 5 screen output simultaneously. Wow. Of course, its price tag doesn't include those five monitors and you have to purchase them separately.

The eXcito Bubba Mini Home Server is a Debian GNU/Linux OS-based server which has a small form factor (183 x 114 x 43 mm) and runs in near-silence (less than 20dB in active mode). For administration and file & folder management purpose, a web browser interface has been pre-loaded on the system. Uses can also use Bubba for an Apache web server, an email server, a printer server, a backup server, or any tasks, thanks to over 15,000 supported Linux packages. Weighs at 1.7kg, the Bubba Mini Home Server is equipped with both Wireless LAN and Ethernet LAN connectivity, along with two USB 2.0 ports - one for printer / USB disk connection, the other for PC connection. It only requires less than 10W of power in active mode, and less than 2W in idle mode. Users can either pay $330 and get an 80GB 5,400rpm HDD, or spend an extra $50 ($380 total) for the 250GB 7,200rpm HDD. |

 Epson has just released a new member of the Endeavor series desktop PC, the Endeavor Pro4000. This is a BTO PC, which means almost all specs can be configurable, including processor, RAM, and HDD. For the processor, users can choose any of the Core 2 Duo processor family, from the E6300 (1.86GHz) to X6800 (2.93GHz). As for the graphics engine, a wide-range of video card are available, including GeForce 7300GS, GeForce 7600GT, ATI Radeon X1900XTX, ATI Radeon CrossFire, ATI FireGL® V3300, and NVIDIA Quadro® FX1500.
