Sony Releases Two HD Camcorders |

Two new HD camcorders from Sony, the HDR-SR8 and HDR-SR5C models. The former is the successor of SR7 camcorder and sports a 3.2 megapixel CCD sensor and a 10x optical zoom lens. No other detail has been revealed at the moment, except that the recorder is scheduled to hit the shelves in July 9th with a price tag of $1,600.
As for HDR-SDR5C, this one is the upgraded version of SR5 camcorder with bigger storage options (100GB). This is enough to keep about 36 hours of 1080i HD movie in H.264 format. It’ll be released at the same date as HDR-SR8 camcorder, but with cheaper price. Only $1,300.
