Ultra low voltage VIA Eden processor launched |

 The Eden ultra low voltage series is targeted towards ultra mobile PCs that require ultra low power consumption. The new processor features 500MHz core frequency at 1W power consumption, according to DigiTimes. The Eden line up is equipped with VIA CoolStream architecture that is packed with digital media performance features, including support for sixteen pipeline stages, SSE multimedia instructions, StepAhead Advanced Branch Prediction, an efficiency- enhanced 64KB Full-Speed Exclusive L2 cache with 16-way associativity, and a full-speed FPU. The processor is also including VIA V4 bus and 21mm × 21mm nanoBGA2 packaging.
